Joining the academy.
From the day I met him, all I used to hear was about National Defence Academy. Whenever we used to talk about it, he used to have a sparkle in his eyes and a different kind of happy tone. Unfortunately, he got rejected twice or thrice but giving up was not his thing. It was 1st October 2015, he had already qualified his written exam and was going for SSB. No one knew about it except me. I was equally nervous as he was and it was my birthday on 24th October and he promised me that he will come for my birthday if he gets selected this time. SSB is 5-day examination before joining the forces. Each passing day was making us even more scared. He used to call me every evening and tell me about things going there.
